Dan has served the City of Los Angeles for over a decade, including his current role as Senior Advisor at StreetsLA, where he supervises communications strategy and plays a leading role in government relations. Notably, Dan served as Communications Director and Director of the HEART of Hollywood initiative at the office of Los Angeles City Councilmember Mitch O'Farrell, 13th District. Through this work, he led the development of the Hollywood Walk of Fame Master Plan, overseeing a robust community engagement process and successfully securing millions of dollars in funding.

Dan's career with the City began in 2013 at the office of Councilmember Tom LaBonge, 4th District, where he served as the field deputy for the Hollywood Hills area. From 2014-2018, he served as the Hollywood field deputy for Councilmember O'Farrell.

Dan also managed the Southern California field office for future California Gov. Gavin Newsom's successful campaign for Lieutenant Governor of California in 2010.

Dan is a civically engaged Angeleno and active member of the local LGBTQ+ and Jewish communities. He previously served in leadership at the Stonewall Democratic Club and has been a member of the Rautenberg New Leaders Project (NLP), a program of the Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles.
Dan is a graduate of the International Downtown Association's Emerging Leader Fellowship, an executive management program for professionals in the place management industry. Additionally, he serves on the board of City Greens Community Farm, and is a past board member of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, Hollywood Partnership and Hollywood Historic Trust.
